Week Two Begins

Sunday, June 16, 2013

As ATL’s Atención Prehospitalaria course continues into its second week, we are seeing a marked improvement in our students. So far, they have gotten hands on practice taking vital signs, extricating patients from cars, starting IV lines, splinting fractures, and transporting patients with improvised materials, among several other areas. As with all A Tu Lado’s classes, many of these lessons were taught by past graduates, eager to pass on their knowledge and experience.

Several students have told us they are already feeling more confident in the patient-care scenarios we run daily, thanks to the extensive practice and one-on-one attention they receive in class. With the final few days of the course approaching, we are excited to see the progress our students will continue to make before they graduate.
